Best guitar lessons to learn for myself or? How to teach myself?

Hello, I had been wanting to learn guitar longer absolute time now and have a lot of free time climbing the second semester of my senior year in high school. He wondered whether it would be better to learn guitar by myself or lessons. Used to be in the orchestra playing the violin until my senior year of high school so I guess I could say they have some knowledge of music.
