Best beginner electric guitar?

I am looking to buy an electric guitar. I've never played or owned a guitar before. I have reduced to 2 options, the Squier Stratocaster and an Epiphone G-310 SG. See I like the Squier because it has hit the bar but I love the style of the SG and the reason I am so interested on guitar is because of Angus Young that the SG is modeled much the same execpt for the bar at once. Does anyone know which is better. I'd love to be able to learn from AC / DC song lyrics. Also what kind of amp would be best for use with either of these guitars??. Thanks a bunch! Oh yes, if there is another guitar that you would recommend instead of these 2 please let me know.

Once I was in your shoes, wanting to buy a guitar to learn some cool AC / songs DC. I bought an Epiphone G-400 for my guitar for beginners, yes that is a little spendy, but worth the extra money. My amp is a Marshall MG series, 15 watts. These are the same brands of AC / DC used: Gibson (Epiphone is your company's baby) and Marshall. So really if you want the DC / AC sound you should buy these. PS I typically try to direct people away from (the Fender Squier is the company's baby), because they can not produce the AC / DC sound.
