Is learning to play guitar hard?
I was just given a guitar as an early b-day gift. I'm hoping to be famous or anything, just want to know how to play. I'm 25 years old and curious, is it difficult to learn to play acoustic guitar? I'm taking classes once a week DVD and have a tutoring session for practice. I used to play piano and took voice lessons as a child so I have a general idea of how to read music. Thank you! 
I started playing when I was seven. if you have the right size guitar for you and you can reach all the frets without effort. be easy. The only thing that may have problems with is changing strings, I still have. make sure your tutor knows what hes talking about and not start with things you want to do, but things that will help. for the first five months my scales and I helped a lot. if you get bored doing one thing sure to continue, only stay with something you want. Personally I find most people with private tutors are better.
