I really want to learn to play guitar, but I'm finding learning all the chord really boring?

Do u think you should try to learn a song and the way it is more interesting if I'm learning to play a song I like and what they suggest U would be a good song to learn to play – one that is not too hard, obviously, with a limited number of chords and easy. Guitar bands and singers I like are Nirvana, Coldplay, David Gray, The Moldy Peaches, Johnny Cash, Damien Rice, I'm … thats just a few. OK Please Help Me I'm determined to learn a song by late January. I dont mean its boring, IV I have a DVD that teaches the chords and the repetitiveness of its goin on the chords over and over again that I find boring, I am music and I know the importance of the chords, I've played the piano since I was seven, but I just want to be able to play some songs on guitar.

http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/ not Enrollment of a rockstar .. but you have to start somewhere. 911tabs is a great site too … When I started, of course, I had to learn the chords, books text told me! but I had a book full record of the famous guitar melodies and every day you play a song then do the chords boring … the next day pick another song, etc. .. you never really get to learn a song in one day, but what I understand is a change of melodies pickin and techniques …. soon you will know what you feel comfortable and can move on to "target" a particular song. GAMES .. never be boring. Have fun
