What is a good way to learn to play acoustic guitar?
Well, I really like to learn the acoustic guitar. I am 15 years old, I have one, but I can not seem to be able to manage and play. What is a good way to learn to play, I want to learn a song and play for me girlfriend as a birthday gift, and just a good way of doing something with my time. There is a good set of CD's to buy? Thanks:)
As mentioned before, you can get a book to teach you how to play, but I think I'm more of a visual student, I'd be able to see how to do it in real time or on videotape. A great way to learn without paying a cent is to see instructional videos on YouTube. There are two people named Marty Schwartz and Siggi instructionals Martens since large, either as learn any particular song, how to play scales or riffs. I definitely suggest checking your videos! I've been playing for years and I love it. The BEST absolute way to learn, in my opinion, is to find some friends or relatives who play guitar, and ask to get help. Start a jam session with them, and begin to learn the chords and progressions with your help. You will be able to pick it up very quickly with your help, I'm sure! Hope you can get to impress his lady-friend!
