Is there any book or website that gives free guitar lessons?
I started playing electric guitar about 2 years ago. In this within 2 years I have not learned anything. I've had 9 different teachers who have been absolutely terrible. I wondered if there was any book or website that gave aid free for the guitar that people could recommend. Oh, and I have a DVD player for a book with a DVD would not help me at all.
You can guitar.com try to start. My son learned electric guitar over the Internet, and became very good (enough to join a band) it is taught same tablature and then sought out the songs I wanted to practice. In the search process found links to blogs and other guitarists who gave him much advice. All it was free. YouTube has some videos of demos of guitar, but you may have to improve before they would help. I understand your frustration with the teachers, but if you decide to try a new one, make sure you know what he imagines himself playing and be sure you can play whatever you want. Good luck!
