Reading books or watching DVDs? i cannot afford a guitar lessons … …. too expensive and plz suggest / recommend a book / DVD for me …

find someone who plays guitar … a friend, neighbor, etc. who are willing to show you something. chords, exercises, etc. is not the best but the way a good place to start. DVDs usually expect you to have a certain level of knowledge. The best is to get a book (in this case pictures are a plus) to show what the different parts of the guitar are called and some of the basics. I have not looked at the books in a while, but I would recommend going to a music store and check out what they recommend. Remember, you want your business. If you're buying a book who wants to learn. the more you learn, the more likely you want a better guitar or art … so you are a customer in the making. if they're smart they will try to button right and guide you in the right direction. past … talking to guitar teachers. tell them you can not afford a few classes a week. you might want to take a lesson here or there just to get started. have someone teach you the basics of help. Just make sure you take notes so you remember what you have to do / practice. good luck. email if you have further questions.
