What is considered "teaching yourself" guitar?
I'm a little confused, because I know that some people learn to play guitar by ear only, etc, and others like me have to read guides, how-to videos, etc. but without the help of a real teacher. I could say that I am teaching myself to play guitar? Or does not apply because I get help from different sources? Thanks:]
You're always taught to you himself to do everything he is learning. Your brain is doing all the work, not someone else. But this is semantics. I would say it would have to learn on my own time, not someone like me who interact directly with me for my expertise. So basically, as long as no one is showing how to play and give advice in response to seeing him play. So the online experience, books, etc., all the learning yourself, teaching yourself, whatever. Lessons of payment or a friend who shows how … nope. So yes, you are teaching yourself.
